We are Hiring!

We are looking for a sales assistant for our new Woodend store, opening in August.

Casual 2 days a week - must be available to work Saturdays and Mondays 9.15-5.15. 

The right person will have a proven track record in retail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Further shifts between our Castlemaine store and Woodend General are also available on a casual basis. 

We are a small team of mothers who are looking for a local person who loves retail and most importantly, kids!

Job responsibilities

  • Reporting to the store manager, you will be responsible for the day to day running of the store, including opening and closing, sales, inventory movements, in-store visual merchandising and promotions, etc
  • Providing excellent customer service by going above and beyond and ensuring every customer has a positive experience in store. 

Your Skills

  • Must have min 3 years retail experience ideally in fashion/kids/toy shop environment
  • Good knowledge of retail, store management, visual merchandising, operations and more importantly excellent customer experience.
  • A warm welcoming nature and generosity of spirit. With a passion to help customers and to build relationships within our wonderful Woodend community, ensuring everyone that visits has a warm and positive experience.Ability to work independently
  • Interest and knowledge of children’s products, toys and clothing advantageous
  • Visual merchandising experience preferred but not essential
  • Lightspeed POS and Shopify experience preferred but not essential
  • A passion for children and children’s retail is a must
